Contest Rules

• Eligibility: Open only to registered scholastic players of the 2025 ECA GRAND PRIX CHESS TOURNAMENT SERIES.
• Entry Limit: One entry, per puzzle set, per player.
• Sections: K-3 U500 · K-8 U800 · K-12 Open. You may move up but not down between weeks.
• How to begin: Select a Puzzle Set (open/close dates shown; only open sets are selectable), choose your Player, and enter your Email (email locks for the duration of the puzzle contest). Click Go To Puzzle Set to start or resume.
• Gameplay: Puzzle sets are timed. Once you submit a move you cannot go back. You may pause and continue later, but you must finish by that set’s deadline. You may also skip a puzzle; skipped puzzles reappear at the end, and any left unanswered at submission count as incorrect.
• Scoring summary: Each puzzle is marked correct only if the entire solution sequence is entered accurately (no partial credit). Accuracy points + Speed bonus (within accuracy group) + Finish bonus (first to finish). Normalized standings per section keep it fair across K-3 / K-8 / K-12.
• Progress & resumes: Your progress auto‑saves on Exit/Save or if you refresh/back/forward (current puzzle, elapsed time, and entered moves). To continue, return here, choose the same Puzzle Set, select your Player, enter the same Email, and click Go To Puzzle Set.
